About the Item

Great pair of faux bamboo tall shelves beautifully painted in a pale yellow finish. Each with six shelves of varying heights, they make wonderful displays for your cherished collections and books. Very rare to find a pair of these mid 20th century etageres, from a single owner estate. Fine craftsmanship and elegant lines, a handsome and useful addition to any living room, den, home office or library. By John Widdicomb, marked on bottom. Measures: 84 inches high 27 wide 12 deep Admirers of Mid-Century Modern furnishings likely recognize Widdicomb for the partnerships with iconic designers such as Frank Lloyd Wright, T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings and Mario Buatta. In 1959, master woodworker George Nakashima created his Origins collection for Widdicomb.
